Maintenance Utility & Housekeeping

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily cleaning around and Underneath Production equipment of polymer, pigment, oil, water & spin finish leaks on the floor with both ride-on and walk behind floor scrubbers.
Broom, shovel, dustpan, mop and bucket, squeegee, etc.in the areas that the floor sweepers cannot reach.
Daily removal of all waste dumpsters/trash cans from Production and disposal of in our outside waste dumpster. All waste to be disposed of within environmental guidelines.
Maintain and keep the floor sweeper in good condition and working order, this is cleaning out the tanks from all solids, cleaning all suction lines as needed, any loose items or fasteners, etc.
Use of forklift to remove waste to appropriate area.
Communicate with all levels of personnel in a Professional Manner
Safety Oriented. This position plays a large role in overall plant safety and the technician must be safety aware at all times.
Other duties as assigned with the potential to assist in other areas of the plant.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Ability to take instructions from your supervisor and other members of management.
Ability to follow safety guidelines and be safety conscious at all times.
Ability to use hand and powered tools if required.
Experience with and knowledge of floor scrubbers and sweepers is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical ability to use hands in a manner that includes pulling, twisting, grabbing, grasping.
Physical ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crawl and move the body in and out of small spaces when required.
Physical ability to climb stairs and/or ladders in a safe manner.
