Machine Operator (Yarn Plant)

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Testing (yarn denier, entanglement, spin finish, card wraps)
• Utilizing pigments and stabilizers.
• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Packaging, labeling, preparing for shipment finished product.
• Performs preventative maintenance to machines to keep them running in good condition.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment at all times by performing general housekeeping and complying with OSHA safety standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
• Ability to work in an environment that may experience seasonal fluctuations of temperature.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in extrusion or industrial manufacturing a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in an environment that may experience seasonal fluctuations in temperature.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time..
