Warehouse & Forklift Operator
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Warehouse/Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently and collaboratively, performing daily tasks efficiently, and assisting others without being prompted. The position requires the operation of various warehouse equipment, handling shipping and receiving activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Pay Rate: $19.38 per hour
Job Responsibilities
Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, hand trucks, carts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform OSHA-required daily checks on forklifts and submit inspection reports to the manager.
Separate and deliver incoming packages from UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other carriers.
Package outgoing shipments and schedule pickups with UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other carriers.
Schedule various trucks for pickups for both plant buildings through phone, text, email, web, or fax.
Direct incoming trucks to appropriate docks for loading and unloading, ensuring trailers are clean and safe before loading.
Utilize scanners to move, locate, pick, ship, adjust, regrade, cycle count, inquire, receive, and create labels for inventory management.
Maintain proper inventory control of both finished goods and raw materials, ensuring accurate locations, damage-free products, and proper labeling at all times.
Perform daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy, promptly repair damaged packaging, and ensure labels are securely affixed.
Scan incoming raw materials into the inventory system, print and apply labels accurately, and log entries in the receiving logbook.
Housekeeping and Safety:
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all warehouse areas, including outside dock areas, keeping them free from debris.
Empty trash cans and manage waste disposal in dumpsters or compactors as needed.
Inspect incoming deliveries for damages, incorrect items, or discrepancies in shipping quantities.
Miscellaneous: Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or other managers, recognizing the production area as an internal customer.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 75 pounds.
Capacity to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings.
Work Schedule: Full-time position with flexibility for overtime as required.
